About

Hi there! My name is Yunni and I am the owner and Principal Occupational Therapist at Path to Grow OT. Since obtaining Master of Occupational Therapy at Curtin University in 2008, I have worked in Perth in disability services, providing occupational therapy to children and adults.

So far, my career has comprised of work in not-for-profit organisations and, more recently, with the Western Australian Government under Department of Communities (formerly Disability Services Commission).

If you are interested, some of my past experiences:
  • Senior Occupational Therapist in Statewide Consultancy Program, supporting paediatric and adult therapy services in Western Australia’s regions. Experienced in service delivery with flexibility and innovation, in acknowledgement of the unique challenges posed for service delivery in the regions.
  • Clinical supervisor and mentor for Go Global Program and Next Step: Industry Mentoring Program respectively at Curtin University.
  • Occupational Therapist for children and young adults with various diagnoses, such as global developmental delay (GDD), intellectual disability (ID), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Fragile X syndrome, Ehler-Danlos syndrome, Noonan syndrome and more.
  • Managed the statewide Community Aids and Equipment Program and the Equipment for Living Grant, both which required clinical acuity to assess the clinical rationale and funding priority.
  • Provided second opinions for Allied Health Consultants in the former WA National Disability Insurance Scheme (WA NDIS).

Path to Grow OT – I will meet you where you are.

Towards the end of my maternity leave, I decided to act on my conviction to deliver a boutique Occupational Therapy service, guided by the values and approach that I hold dear:

  • follow the person and family centred approach (for early childhood intervention),
  • deliver strength-based and evidence-based practice,
  • provide coaching support and open communication,
  • maintain a small number of clients to get to know each family better, and
  • build a longer term, sustainable relationship.

I believe a mobile therapy service has the advantage to better support generalisation and maintenance of the skills learned in our usual environment. Our occupational therapy sessions can mostly be in the comfort of your own home but can also be at daycare, school, community locations and via telehealth, where appropriate and agreed to by all parties.

If you prefer clinic appointments, they are also available via appointments.

I look forward to getting to know you/your child, your priorities, your values and beliefs and, especially, to meet you where you are, at different points of our therapy relationship.

Meet you where you are.
